Last week, I posted a very interesting blog post; I basically broke down from anger of Scream 3's criticism on
IMDb.com. I guess having a near-emotional breakdown is the most proof I've ever had that I am a legit fan of the
Scream trilogy, most importantly,
Scream 3. My devastated self, I emailed a friend of mine, who is also a big fan of the trilogy. This is a very great reply, that really got me to calm down and not to care anymore...or at least as much.
These "fans" are Nothing to do with the series.
Either good or bad.
And neither are the creators for that matter.
My sister had this problem when she first joined a forum for one of her favorite tv shows(Torchwood)....She got really agitated and never went back there...But I felt it put her off the series she loved a little.
One of my big problems I have is with Behind the Scenes and interviews, as I tend to get more agitated by that stuff.
Alien 3 was one of my favorite movies and I found out the director and pretty much everybody involved hated it.
Another third film that's considered inferior..coincidence?
Just take the finished work and always concentrate on that...ignore everything else...Because frankly people's opinions have more plot holes than any movie I could find!
Care and think about the painting, not the artist or the people in the audience.
And this is not the first time I have been angry at Mr Craven.
He has always looked down on the Nightmare On Elm Street films, for years, and I quote "Couldn't see anything in them".... yet on the one of the more recent documentaries he says that part 4 was a very talented and good film.
I love the Scream series, and Part 3 is my favorite. I love the whole series, and just wish everyone else could so there was much more peace, but drama doesn't solve anything. So what? I have a few nerds on the Internet harassing me because of my honest opinion. At least I'm not a poser.
